Pneumatic rubber fender is a prevailing style of anti-collision device for marine use in the world at present. When the ship contacts to ship or berthing facilities, its protective effect against collision is better than that of converntional fenders made of solid rubber, such as scrap tire, solid rubber fender, etc., due to compressed air used as amortization medium. Having the advantages of large energy absorption with low unit surface pressure acted on ship, superior impact fatigue characteristic and simple installation, it will be applied extensively to large tankers, LPG vessels, ocean platforms, large docks and harbor wharves,etc., to protect ship's side.
